Who we are

Hewy is made by Last Mountain Wireless Inc., in Canada ("we"). These terms cover the Hewy apps for Mac, iPhone and Android, the Hewy Daemon you install on your servers, and our services at hewy.app and hewy.ai. Using Hewy means you agree to them.

Your servers, your agents

Hewy runs AI agents on servers you choose, with your own Claude or ChatGPT plan or API keys. You're responsible for the servers you connect, for what you ask agents to do, and for the commands you approve. Agents can make mistakes: review what they want to run, and keep backups of anything that matters. Your AI provider's own terms apply to your use of their models.

Your account

Your data is encrypted on your devices with a key only your master password or recovery code can open. We can't read it, and we can't reset your master password. If you lose both it and your recovery code, your synced data can't be recovered. Keep your devices and master password safe; you're responsible for what happens under your account.

Subscriptions

• Price: US$99 a year or US$9.99 a month, plus any tax that applies. Everything in Hewy is included.
• Free trial: 14 days, once per person. If you don't cancel at least a day before it ends, your first payment is taken then.
• Renewal: your subscription renews each month or year until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Hewy until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Bought in the App Store: Apple takes the payment, and Apple's terms cover billing, cancelling and refunds. Manage it in your Apple account.
• Bought on hewy.ai: Stripe takes the payment. Cancel or change plans any time from your account. If you're charged when you didn't mean to be, write to us within 14 days of the charge for a full refund.
• If a subscription ends, the apps lock until you subscribe again. Agents already running on your servers keep running, and your data stays yours.
• Price changes apply from your next renewal, and we'll tell you before then.

Using Hewy fairly

Don't use Hewy to break the law, to get into computers you're not allowed to use, to attack or overload our services or anyone else's, or to get around how Hewy is sold. We may suspend an account that does, after telling you why where we can.

Changes and availability

We keep improving Hewy, so features change. We work to keep hewy.app running, but can't promise it will never be down; your servers and agents keep working when it is. If we ever stop offering Hewy, we'll give you notice and refund the unused part of any subscription bought on hewy.ai.

Limits

Hewy is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for what agents do on your servers, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

Ending

You can stop using Hewy and delete your account at any time, in the app under Settings › Account › Delete Account. Deleting it cancels a hewy.ai subscription at once.

The law

These terms are governed by the laws of Saskatchewan and of Canada that apply there.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and its date, and tell you in the app about changes that matter.
